Coach Daisha

Founder & Head Coach

Meet Coach Daisha, a seasoned mentor and coach with nearly two decades of experience in teaching both the game of tennis and invaluable life skills to youth. Throughout her career, Coach Daisha has left a lasting impact on countless individuals through her work with esteemed organizations such as the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, South Atlanta Community Tennis Association, and the East Atlanta Kids Club.

But Coach Daisha's influence extends beyond the tennis court. With a heart for education, she has also served as a substitute and assistant teacher in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Special Needs classrooms. Her dedication to empowering young minds doesn't stop there; Coach Daisha's journey began in college, where she earned a full scholarship to Alcorn State University to play basketball.

Today, Coach Daisha proudly serves as the Head Coach for Women's Tennis at Clark Atlanta University. In her inaugural season, she led her team to the conference championship match, a testament to her exceptional leadership and coaching prowess.

Yet, for Coach Daisha, success isn't solely measured in wins and losses. Her true calling lies in guiding youth towards self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-belief. Through her unwavering commitment to her purpose, Coach Daisha continues to inspire and uplift those who are willing to embrace her vision.

Kiera Rahming-Reed

Co-Founder, Coach & Entrepreneur

Kiera Rahming-Reed, a proud Florida native, embarked on her journey in education, earning her college degree in elementary education. For nearly a decade, she dedicated herself to nurturing young minds, driven by a profound desire to guide the next generation along their unique paths.

Around three years ago, Kiera made a significant pivot, following her deep-rooted passion for the arts. Today, she thrives as a full-time entrepreneur, channeling her creativity and skill into intricate 3D Wood Scroll Saw Artistry. 

Despite transitioning from the traditional classroom, Kiera remains deeply committed to youth development. Serving as a coach and mentor with the Kidz & Tennis Rule Community Tennis Association, she continues to inspire and empower young individuals, bridging her past in education with her present in the arts.

Dr. Rasheda Likely, PhD

Board Member, Professor at Kennesaw State University, Scientist and Entrepreneur

Dr. Rasheda Likely serves as an Assistant Professor of Science Education in Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University where she teaches science courses focused on curriculum and instruction to undergraduate and graduate students. She takes great delight in building teacher capacity for engaging students in and expanding the evaluation of STEM practices. Her research interests include developing decolonized science curricula, activities, and assessments. The curriculum Lotions and Potions: Science through Hair Care situates hair care as a scientific content topic and the making of hair and skin care products as science activities. Included within the curriculum is a culturally sustaining framework to incorporate a do-it-yourself (DIY) video as an assessment instrument. Dr. Likely continues to reimagine learning experiences that reflect and center the brilliance of minoritized students.

Dr. Erika Brown

Board Member, Education | Culture | Equity | Advocacy

Dr. Erika Brown is an esteemed researcher and advocate dedicated to advancing cultural relevance, equity, and inclusion within organizational settings. With extensive experience in coordinating comprehensive workshops and developing strategic plans, Dr. Brown has significantly contributed to countless projects and educational reform. She is renowned for her passion for implementing social justice initiatives and relocated to the East Coast in 2020 to fully immerse herself in this vital work.
A strong supporter of students, a vocal advocate for teachers, and a committed community activist, Dr. Brown is unapologetically black and proud. Her academic journey began at Alcorn State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then obtained a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and completed a Teacher Education Program at the University of Memphis. Her pursuit of excellence culminated in a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership & Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Currently, Dr. Brown serves as the CEO and Lead Climate & Culture Specialist for OnTime Culture, an organization dedicated to fostering positive organizational environments. Additionally, she serves as Director of Voices United: For Missing Persons Nonprofit, a charity focused on centralizing efforts and supporting families of missing persons.
In her spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys indulging in her favorite foods and cherishing moments with her three children, Malik, Mav’Rick, and Mya. Her dedication to her community, her relentless pursuit of justice, and her unwavering commitment to education make her a pivotal figure in her field.
